Even though humans are classified for the purposes of biological study as animals, there is a distinct separation between the understanding of ‘animal’ and ‘human’. Indre Rimselyte is interested in similarities and communication between different species. In this project she is communicating her ideas through many digital drawings while making a short animated sequence. While showing an altered version of our reality through changes of form and colour the artist talks about real issues of the human-animal psychology and means of expressing oneself. Rimselyte believes that humans and other animals have many more similarities than one thinks and it is one of her main subjects of exploration.
Indre’s work will be projected on the Queens Hall Stage throughout Sunday.
