Betweenroom/Mellomrom is a collaborative investigation between movement and ceramics, with my mother and ceramicist Linda Jansson Lothe.
In this solo, I focus on the subtle relationship to sustainability of the environment, through the earthy and natural elements of clay and the body. My movements are informed by the quality of clay in its different stages, found in previous research. I aim to find a sustainable process and system through detailed improvisation and relationship to space, informed by building/breaking, repetition/change, balance/fragility and re-shaping. I wish for the audience to have close proximity, to catch the details of the body and objects, and the possibility to view the work from different perspectives.
