First Acts Announced for Handmade 2017

It’s finally here: The first announcement for Handmade 2017

We are delighted that our May Day bank holiday event will take place on April 29th & 30th at O2 Academy Leicester and Attenborough Arts Centre, and will be headlined by TWIN ATLANTIC and FRIGHTENED RABBIT, with BRITISH SEAPOWER, PULLED APART BY HORSES, HONEYBLOOD, JAWS, TIGERCUB, MUNCIE GIRLS, PUPPY and IDLES scattered across the two days and multiple stages.

This is the first of many announcements, and we’ll have even more music, comedy, art, film, photography and performance to tell you about really soon.

Tickets are on sale now for just £40 for both days and for the first time we’re also offering under 16’s youth tickets for £20 and NUS Student Tickets for £30. You can find them all RIGHT HERE.

Old friends of Handmade will spot that we’re only announcing two days of festival at this point. The perfect storm of people working on Fridays, and the challenge of building a festival in an active students union always meant that Friday felt like the poor cousin of the rest of the weekend, so this year we’ve decided to focus our efforts and energies in to creating two days of Handmade as you’ve known her thus far. There are plans afoot for something to fill the Friday void, and we’ll let you know what they are really soon.

See you all in April!
