The Sherlocks

We keep hearing that “rock’n’roll is coming back”, but the band from Bolton upon Dearne, Barnsley may fulfil the traditional indie rock kid’s desire for new guitar heroes. The two sets of brothers that make up the band grew their reputation the old-fashioned way through a heavy touring schedule and a number of gigs reputedly into four figures, earning an army of fans and leading to their supporting for the Libertines on their 2016 arena tour, before their debut album Live For The Moment crashed into the album chart at number 6 on release in August 2017. Produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Ocean Colour Scene, The Twang) at the legendary Rockfield studios, their big anthemic songs provided an easy link to their heroes the Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian, leading to Liam Gallagher support slots. They were recording the follow-up at the end of 2018 and have been announced for the Kaiser Chiefs’ big Elland Road, Leeds homecoming gig in June.
