Emperor Yes is a musical ensemble that comprises Ash Gardner (producer, engineer and House of Strange studios owner who has worked with for the likes of Ash, Mumford and Sons, Noah and the Whale, Emmy the Great and Summer Camp), Adam Betts (of Three Trapped Tigers) and Hugo Sheppard (solo artist and member of Carl and the Saganauts, House of Strange, Ron Jetson, Arch Stanton, and briefly with Summer Camp, Clockwork Quartet, and To-mera).

Together, this nerdy-pop super-group recently kicked-off their career with an uplifting brace of tracks in Fishes/Wasps, which feel like an expressive vacation from their usual roles. To enhance even further the collaborative nature of this project, Emperor Yes had hosted a month-long gallery show to celebrate the release where works by graffiti artists based on each of the tracks were on show and live performances from friends such as Olubenga (Metronomy) took place. Not only that, they’ve also had a range of limited edition screen prints made by Low Bros, press shots by the fantastic Phil Sharp and the first of two music videos created by video mega-lord Chris Boyle (Call of Duty, The Who, Dizzee Rascal, Warp).

Emperor Yes are an act who, along with their well-accomplished associates, truly celebrate the power of collaboration, delivering well-beyond the results expected from such an experienced collective. Hear it on tape or mp3, watch it live or on video, and touch/see it on walls and canvasses available from the band at their shop.
