DUTCH UNCLES, SKY LARKIN & More added to the bill

We’ve been trickling out line-up additions on a near weekly basis, and this is one we’re particularly excited about. Joining us for Handmade 2013 will be…

DUTCH UNCLES

Marple quintet Dutch Uncles are already three albums in to their career, with the astonishing ‘Out of Touch in the Wild’ out this year. They are known for their use of atypical time signatures and putting them in the context of pop songs.

SKYLARKIN

Leeds trio Sky Larkin’s ascent has been rapid and exhilarating. Refusing to be musically pigeon-holed or viewed as a provincial concern, there’s a timeless, international scope to their music, echoing the likes of The Breeders, Violent Femmes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more. To compare Sky Larkin directly to any singular band or record however, would be doing the trio a grave injustice.

KATIE MALCO

Kingston (via Fife and Northampton) girl Katie Malco plays a right handed guitar upside down - but try not to let that bother you. She writes lush pop songs and released the ‘Katie Malco & The Slow Parade’ EP on Alcopop Records at the end of 2011, produced by Iain Archer of such fame as Snow Patrol, Tired Pony and featuring a studio band of Tubelord and My First Tooth members to boot.

KENWORTHY

Leicester boys Kenworthy are a Leicester based Jazz infused Indie trio who are turning heads everywhere they play. In November 2011 they signed to Leicestershire label Flat Five Records, releasing their debut EP Doors.
