In Anticipation: St. Martin’s Coffe Shop’s Georgie Tansell

Another instalment of interrogating our team on what they’re looking forward to this weekend. This time around Co-Comedy Curator and St. Martin’s Coffee Shop Events Manager Georgie Tansell takes us through how her weekend’s going to pan out..
Firstly, I have to say the entire line up is magnificent! Picking three is a tough call… Like most I imagine, cannot wait to see Dry The River, ever since I heard Weights and Measures I’ve been a massive fan! Beautiful lyrics, emotional and thought evoking stuff! I also get to share there performance with a group of wonderful friends #perfectsituation
I look forward to seeing work by Robert Hardaker, his work is truly fascinating. I had the privilege of witnessing Robs early work ‘Needle in the hay’ back in 2011. Whilst Studying for my Fine Art Degree at De Monfort. It’s really great to his creative evolution and captivating performances, his collaborations with Heather Forknell are incredible.
The comedy line up at St Martin’s is immense, I’m in a very fortunate situation and get to enjoy the whole comedy line up over the festival weekend, like many it’s fair to say I’m in for a very funny weekend! I’m a huge fan of Luke Benson and look forward to his witty puns and giant jokes. That performance will certainly be the comedy cherry on the comedy cake.
Roll on the Weekend!
