In Anticipation: Festival Assistant Holly Holdsworth
Holly pretty much keeps Handmade on the rails, so we were particularly intrigued to hear what she was excited about or the final instalment of our voyages through the minds of Team Handmade…
We Three And The Death Rattle
WTATDR have a level of nonchalant cool that makes me want to cut up my jeans and soak up their atmosphere. Simplistic and blues-y, their debut album launch was one of my favourite nights this year. I was very sad to miss their set at last year’s festival but will definitely not let that happen again, and neither should you.
Grace Petrie and The Benefits Culture
Grace has a beautiful way of mixing ideology with music and having been to a fair few of her shows over the past three years, quite late to the party I know, I can guarantee that every time she has had me in tears with her piercing lyrics. She brings hope as well as sorrow in her songs though and so I’m equally excited to see her friends and collaborators at her curated stage at the Firebug on Friday.
Heather Forknell
The sneaks peaks online of the art Heather is bringing to us this year betrays just a little of how incredibly talented she is as a fine artist. If you haven’t already goggled at her twitter feed then do so now. The immaculate detail within the drawings is astounding!
Silent Disco
I actually haven’t been to a silent disco before but I’m very much looking forward to sitting back with a drink after a long weekend of work and fun, giggling at all the surreal dancing and slowing rocking in my chair.
And of course the secret shows… but you’ll just have to keep on our twitter feed for info on those.
