Announcement 3: The Twilight Sad, We Were Promised Jetpacks & Dark Dark Horse
Two More Headliners and one local added to the bill today…
The Twilight Sad
The Twilight Sad are from Kilsyth, Scotland, formed in late 2003. They have released three full-length albums: Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters(2007), Forget the Night Ahead (2009) and No One Can Ever Know (2012). Where their debut album mixed post-rock and post-punk with heavily delayed shoegaze guitars and folk elements, their second album is more influenced by early krautrock. The band experienced a stylistic shift on their third album that replaced the wall of sound with analog synths in a new wave style.
We Were Promised Jetpacks
We Were Promised Jetpacks are formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2003. Signed to Fat Cat Records and they have released two albums: “These Four Walls” (2009) and “In the Pit of the Stomach” (2011).
Dark Dark Horse
Dark Dark Horse is the collaboration between producer Jamie Ward (ex Kyte / current Maybeshewill) and singer James Stafford (kids in cars). When they play live they are joined by Joe Norledge and Robin Southby. They hail from the leafy countryside of Leicestershire, UK. Jamie writes the music and James turns these electronics doodles into fully fledged songs. Japanese label Rallye (Toro Y Moi, Au Revoir Simone, The Joy Formidable) released their debut album, ‘Centuries’, in November 2010.
