In Anticipation: Photography Curator David Wilson Clarke

In our continued voyage through the acts some of our team are most looking forward to, we spoke to David Wilson Clarke, who looks after everything camera based at Handmade.

I’ve seen quite a few of the acts before, but, as with any festival, it’s the ones that I’ve not seen before that excite me: What new favourites will I find. Having said that, I know there are some absolute gems on the line up.

And So I Watch You From Afar are basically a massive explosion of energy. An Instrumental band that play with rhythms and textures. Such a joy to watch.

Her Name Is Calla. From almost silent, to thunderous. And so it is with the emotion they portray, too.

Haiku Salut are fun. Delightful play with sound and music. They’re instrumental, so you don’t sing along, you grin along.

Peter Wyeth - Peter does loops. But that is the beginning of the story. Each performance subtle, and lovingly put together. Each an emotional journey.

And of course, Cunt Rag. They will redefine how you think of music.
