The Handmade 2016 Comedy Line-Up is Out!

Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival might be slowly drifting in to memory, but fear not! We’re delighted to be bringing you a whole host of incredible comedy over the Saturday and Sunday of Handmade courtesy of Leicester Fridge…

We’ll let them tell you more about it…

“Leicester Fridge exists for one reason and one reason only - to showcase the vast wealth of comic talent that Leicester has to offer, and to direct you towards the awesome comedy nights that the city has to offer all year round! So we proudly present four showcases of comic talent, each presented by one of the city’s regular comedy promoters.”

SATURDAY 30th APRIL

4-6pm - Comedy & Cocktails

Leicester’s longest running monthly comedy night happens every first Tuesday of the month at Manhattan 34. Featuring the best up-and-coming comics from the UK circuit, served with special comedy-themed cocktails at special prices!
Headlining this section is Harriet Dyer, who has been winning over audiences at the UK’s biggest clubs and festivals with her infectious energy and hilarious tales which tread the fine line between eccentric and barking mad. “Instinctively funny…seems certain to become a comic force to be reckoned with” - Chortle.

Support comes from:

Danny James Clives

Hosted by ‘Irish Wrestling Bear’ - Dave McGuckin

Headlining this section will be Bethany Black, whose brand of provocative stand-up has taken her all the way from the Chortle Student Comedy Awards to being a critically-acclaimed comedian, writer, LGBT icon and actor, starring in Channel 4’s Cucumber and BBC1’s Doctor Who. “Material is as black as her eye shadow… delivery as deadpan as a Goth at a garden centre” - BBC.

Cheekykita will be headlining with her absurd character/physical show, described as “like The Mighty Boosh on crack” (Broadway Baby). “One of the strangest acts you’re ever likely to see. But see her you must, because it’s very difficult to describe exactly why she’s a genius” (Manchester Wire).

Support comes from:
Tom King

Sam Nicoresti as ‘Wilbur Bilb’
