Årabrot

Kjetil Nernes of Haugesund, Norway is the only permanent member of Årabrot, who emerged from the doomy, sludgy end of the noise-rock underground in 2001. The two Årabrot records following a battle with throat cancer, 2015’s The Gospel and last year’s eighth album Who Do You Love, exhibited a softer sound Nernes describes as “true Norwegian art-rock”, funnelling gothic horror and Biblical grandiosity into their doomy avant-rock.
